25 水難事故を防ぎ、人の命を守り続けて45年 　静岡県湖西市白須賀海岸は、サーフィンのメッカと言われ多くのサーファーが訪れます。 更に遠州灘海岸は全域遊泳禁止にも拘わらず海水浴客も訪れることもあり、水難事故が後 を絶たない状況に陥りました。行政だけの力では十分に事故を防ぐことができない為、行 政に頼らず自分たちが中心となりボランティアによる海のレスキュー隊を結成したりして、 海の安全に力を入れて参りました。 　今まで人命救助をした数は43名以上に上りますが、もっと海に訪れる人々が海を知り ルールを守れば、水難事故は未然に防ぐことが出来ます。これからも海を愛しサーフィンを 愛し続ける者として、海の安全には注意を払っていきたいと思いますが、皆さん一人 一人が海のルールを学び、安全を心掛ける意識を持って海と接してくれることを願って 止みません。 45 years of Avoiding Disasters at Sea and Protecting Peoples’ Life Many surfers go to the Shizuoka Prefecture Kosaishishirasuka Coast, which is known as a spiritual place for surfing. In addition, many people visit the Enshunada-coast for swimming, even though the entire area is swimming-restricted. From that having accidents at shore could not be avoided. Since the public administration could not avoid these accidents, volunteer rescue team was founded, and have put a force into safety measurements to the sea. Until now, over 43 lives had been saved, but if visitors have more knowledge of the sea, and follow the rules, sea-related accidents can be avoided. As a person admiring the sea and surfing, I will continue to put more effort on safety awareness, but at the same time, I wish for each person to learn the rules and be more aware on safety when in contact with the sea.
