名古屋商科大学卒業式に父からもらった手紙　※原文ママ 記之　一九六八年三月二十日　大安吉日 今日のこの良き日に、四年間の風雪苦難をのりこえて目度く名商大を卒業した事を、ここに謹んで お.び申上げお祝い申上げます。本当に無事に卒業した事、卒業できた事をどんなに親として. び嬉しいか解らない。俺はお前が学長と握手した時に涙が出た。親が無学なばかりにお前にはず いぶん迷惑と想う事もあろうが、子供を憎い親はこの世の中で一人もないと想う。その点もう少し 考へて貰いたい。 苦あれば楽あると言ふ言葉通り、社会と言ふは、そんな甘いものではないと言ふ事はお前も知っ ていると想うが、どうか自分の生きる道を間違わずに明日からの社会生活の第一歩をふみしめて 想う存分に働け遊ぶ事。生活は最底に働く事は人の倍いや三倍でも四倍でもやらないと人に負る 事を忘れるな。お前から見れば馬鹿な親と想うが、お前を四年間血のにじむ様な苦しい業持って 学校にやった事を忘れずにがんばってくれ。それを期待する。 父　安生 　 Letter from my father at graduation of Nagoya University of Com merce & Business. ※Taken from Original Text Written on March 20th, 1968 T aian-Kichinici (auspicious day in Japanese Calendar) I am truly grateful that you have overcome 4 years of blizzard of hardship and have graduated NUCB on this auspicious day. No one will understand how truly grateful and happy I am as a parent that you have and was able to graduate. Tears came out when you shook hands with the student president. You may have felt troubled having an uneducated parent, but please do understand that there are no p arents who hate their child. “Pain is the source of pleasure” You probably already know, but just as these words express, society is not an easy place. From tomorrow, avoid making wrong decision with your life, and steadily start your first step of social life towards a satisfying work and play life. Don’t forget that in order to live, you need to work 2 times, 3 times, 4 times harder than others in order to win. You may think you have foolish parents.
